The Little Snail

Celebrating the awakening of spring with a pre-Fathers Day Lunch. Previously, I was going to spoil Dad out with dinner but he apparently heard the weather forecast would be very chilly tonight. So instead, we decided lunch it was. We'd heard alot about this restaurant and well... lets see how it went :)

Starter: Bruschetta

Entree 1: Escargot de Bourgogne

Entree 2: Paté Maison

Entree 3: Carpaccio of Fruitwood Smoked Salmon

Mains(L-R): Loin of Lamb, Kangaroo Fillet, Seafood Plate



Dessert 1: Chef Churned Hazelnut and Praline Ice Cream



Dessert 2: Classic Crème Caramel



Dessert 3: Handmade Profiteroles



So for starters, this was definately a very affordable and yummy three-course lunch. It was the only thing they served, everyone was just given set menus (no A la carte's). Lets say, it was definately a great start. The bruschetta and entree's were definately my favourite. The mains... could've been better but then again, it was really good as well. But if i could just have a three course meal of each of the entrees, i wouldnt complain. Overall, very yummy ^^ especially the little snails they have... [bad pun]

Surviving uni for 5 hours (including a 3 hour Phys Lecture) is what we like to call an achievement, especially since it was the last day of uni. Can you believe it? its already been ..... a whole sem! Thats 1.5 years of uni ...already...

Shooo, i have been meaning to visit this little place becausee ...'ITS SHOOO PRETTYYYY!!' dws that was an in joke but yeah, it does look really pretty! With like uh...trees and stuff inside.

Mouth Orgasm

Jelly Beans, Popping candy and Smarties.

Seen these around for so long but finally decided to give them ago. I must say, its the best $2 spent all week. Just feels like Willy Wonka in one bite, each pop tingling your sensations and screaming for excitement! So i just spent the last five minutes, sitting back and waiting for each little pop of the candy pieces- so strange but so... satisfying ;)

Personally, the popping candy just gives alot more thrill, on first trying but i think i've had it way too much lately. ahahs comfort food, i say. but fhet, they say. Nonetheless, no regrets for trying new stuff.

So there was that random seasonal change, where the only things that were sold were bananas and having a daddy that loves bananaas (who doesnt ahahs ), well yeah. the fruit bowl was full of them and what better than to experiment with breakfast. Inspired by the pancakes I had for dessert the night before. Yum.
